It followed the 1845 American annexation of Texas, which Mexico still considered its territory because it refused to recognize the Treaties of Velasco, signed by President Antonio López de Santa Anna after he was captured by the Texian Army during the 1836 Texas Revolution. The Republic of Texas was de facto an independent country, but most of its Anglo-American citizens who had moved from the United States to Texas after 1822 wanted to be annexed by the United States. 3. John Jr started to explain to Yuēhàn the key battles of the Mexican American War. Battle of Monterrey The first major battle of the war, which took place in 1846. Mexican forces were able to repel the first few attacks by U.S. forces, but eventually surrendered. Battle of Buena Vista A turning point in the war, as Santa Anna's decision to attack Taylor prevented him from reinforcing Vera Cruz. Battle of Cerro Gordo The First and Second Tennessee Infantry regiments distinguished themselves in this battle, which was the first of a series of American victories that led to the capture of Mexico City. Battle of Chapultepec A decisive battle in 1847, where troops led by Gen. Winfield Scott overwhelmed a group of cadets studying at the military academy in the castle. Battle of Palo Alto The first major engagement of the war, which took place on May 8, 1846. The American army was able to defeat the Mexican army, despite the Mexican army being much larger, due to their superior weapons and training. 4. John Jr and Yuēhàn found out Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ended the Mexican War and annexed a large amount of territory to California.

Ezra, Leo, Mummy and Daddy were having breakfast. Ezra was eating peanut butter on toast with honey. Leo had thrown his food all over the floor. Once he had finished breakfast Ezra jumped up and said "Pirate 3 eyes, Pirate 1 eye, Pirate smelly pants - its time for a pirate adventure". They drove down to the Thames where their pirate ship was moored next to big ben. They got changed into their pirate outfits and set sail. They sailed for many days through all kinds of weather. Then on day 4 Ezra climbed to the very top of the mast, he got out his golden telescope, and peered through it. In the distance he could see another pirate ship heading towards them. He shouted down to Leo, Mummy and Daddy "Watch out - another pirate ship is coming". The family got ready. Daddy put on a suit of armor. Leo pulled down his pants and wiggled his bottom. Mummy got on a horse. And Ezra launched his drone. As the pirate ship approached they could see it had 20 pirates on board. They all had beards and patches on their eyes. They looked scary. They were also drinking a lot of rum so were quite dizzy. The pirate ship got close and closer. When it was very close Ezra shouted "Sink that ship". The family sprang into action. Ezra launched his drone and flew it into the side of the other pirate ship making a big hole in it. Mummy, riding her horse, jumped onto the other pirate ship and knocked lots of the pirates overboard. Daddy, wearing a suit of armor, swam to the other pirate ship, climbed up the side, and smashed down the sails. And Leo carried on wiggling his naked bottom at them. Soon the other pirate ship began to sink. Ezra shouted "Get the treasure". Ezra, Leo, Mummy and Daddy all climbed onto the pirate ship and grabbed all the treasure. They got a huge treasure chest full of diamonds and crystals, gold coins, gold cups, gold plates, necklaces and bracelets. They jumped back on board their own pirate ship as the other pirate ship sank to the bottom of the sea.

Once upon a whimsical day at the enchanted zoo, Gaia and her grandfather Dac embarked on a fantastical adventure. Little did they know, the zoo was under a spell that brought the animals to life in unexpected ways. Their first stop was the monkey enclosure, where Dac mimicked their movements and was granted the ability to swing from branch to branch. He opened the cupboard and found his best pair, A loaf of white bread with a crusty brown hair. “Now let’s spread butter, nice and smooth,” He grabbed his big knife and made a cool move. With a scoop and a swirl, he spread it with care, “Oh, how I love butter! It’s light as the air!” Next came the veggies, all crunchy and bright, Lettuce and tomatoes, such a lovely sight. He washed them so gently and sliced them with cheer, Stacking them neatly—oh, what fun, oh dear! “Now for the meat!” Sammy clapped with delight, He opened the fridge—what a wonderful sight! Turkey and ham, piled high with some cheese, “Just look at this goodness! I’ll eat it with ease!” “Don’t forget mustard! It adds a big zing!” He squeezed on a dollop—oh, what joy it can bring! Then he topped it with pickles, so crunchy and round, “A yummy sandwich! It’s the best to be found!” He placed the last slice on top with a thud, And gave it a press with a big happy “thud!” “Now, let’s cut it in half, so easy to share, I’ll take one to my friends, with love and with care!” With a plate full of sandwiches, Sammy did grin, “Making a sandwich is such a win-win! It’s fun to create, with flavors to mix, A sandwich adventure—a tasty fix!” So if you feel hungry and don’t know what to do, Just follow Sam’s steps, and you’ll make one too! With bread and some goodies, your snack will be grand, Just like Sammy McSandwich, oh so well planned!

Deeper in the forest, they encountered a hungry squirrel searching for food. Lina took out her last piece of bread and gave it to the squirrel. Suddenly, the ground trembled, and the bushes parted, revealing a breathtaking waterfall glowing with golden light. Standing before the magical waterfall, Lina made a wish to always have adventures with her family. The waterfall sparkled as if answering her wish. A deer with shimmering antlers appeared and spoke, "Your kindness has restored the magic of the forest. Take this as a token of gratitude." The deer handed Lina a glowing stone before disappearing into the mist. As they walked back to their campsite, Lina held the stone tightly, knowing she would never forget this magical adventure.

But he was generous and finally let the mouse go. 3.Some days later, while stalking his prey in the forest, the lion was caught in a hunter's net. Unable to free himself, he filled the forest with his angry roaring. The mouse knew the voice and quickly found the lion struggling in the net. 4.Running to one of the great ropes that bound him, she gnawed it until it parted, and soon the lion was free. “You laughed when I said I would repay you,” said the mouse. “Now you see that even a mouse can help a lion.”
