"Tentu!" jawab Burung Qari sambil menyanyi dengan suara merdunya, "Dengar ya: '**Qoo-la**.' Dalam perkataan ini, ada Alif selepas huruf Qof, dan kita perlu panjangkan bacaan itu. The teacher replies, "They were built to keep pirates away!" Page 4 The kids see an old well. Alex points and says, "This well was used by villagers for drinking water." Emma looks closely and says, "The well has a metal cover. That’s special!" Page 5 Next, they visit the Tin Hau Temple. Emma is surprised and says, "There are so many statues in the temple!" The teacher explains, "These are the gods that protect the village. We can pray here for blessings." Page 6 In the temple, the kids see two old bronze bells. Emma asks, "What are these bells for?" The teacher says, "People ring the bells to tell the gods and pray for safety." Page 7 Before the trip ends, the kids take pictures on the village path. They agree to come back next time to join the village’s traditional activities and learn more about the culture. Page 8 Back at school, Alex and Emma excitedly share their trip stories. Little girl finds an undyed egg during an easter egg hunt that turns out to be a raven egg that hatches. She unravels one of her favorite sweaters, with small golden glitter woven into the wool threads, she pulls apart the yarn and makes a big pile of wool, placing it into a shoebox for her friend to return to its nest to keep warm. on Christmas day the wool was gone and she followed a path of pieces of wool that had dropped on the snow to a tree where she found her raven friend in a tree surrounded by the glittery wool. in the spring a flock of ravens all bring small gifts to the back porch for the girl.

Tuffy was a great dog. he was actually part of the family. Every evening when we ate, he was always sitting beside the table waiting on his portion of the food. He was our friend and adventurer. He would go with Rusty every day and deliver newspapers and always walk Rusty and Lisha to the bus stop. When the bus came home, he came running to walk with us back home. Everyone in the neighborhood loved Tuffy. He would go to the Wertz's house and they would give him snacks. He did this all over the neighborhood. Rusty's parents had a creek in their backyard and Tuffy loved to play in the creek. Tuffy had 2 great dog friends, Flury and Clementine. They woiuld play together for hours.
