Mum and dad return from hospital and tell Lily that unfortunately the baby did not survive. They grieve the loss of the child and plant a tree to remember the baby girl by. At the end Lily holds hands with her mum and dad and looks up to a big shining star in the sky above their cottage

One sunny day, he spotted a big, muddy puddle in his yard. “Yippee!” shouted Gus. “I’m going to jump in that puddle!” Gus put on his bright red boots and ran toward the puddle. His friend, Bud, saw him from the swing. “Wait for me, Gus!” Bud called, swinging high. Gus waited. “Come on, Bud! It’s fun!” Bud jumped off the swing and ran to join Gus. What are you doing?” “We’re having a muddy fun time!” Bud said, splashing more mud. Pup wagged his tail. “I want to join!” Gus and Bud laughed. “Okay, Pup! Jump in!” Pup jumped right into the puddle, sending mud flying. They all rolled and played until they were covered in mud from head to toe. After a while, they decided it was time to clean up. “Let’s go back to my house,” said Gus. “We can wash off in the tub!” When they got to Gus's house, his mom chuckled at the sight of the muddy friends. “Oh my! What happened to you three?” “We had the best fun in the puddle!” Gus exclaimed, grinning. His mom smiled and filled the tub with warm water. “Alright, muddy buddies, it’s bath time!” After their bath, Gus, Bud, and Pup sat together on the porch, drying off in the sun. “That was the best day ever!” Bud said. “Let’s do it again tomorrow!” Gus replied, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
