At the end of the night, Tian gave Lina a small red envelope. “What’s inside?” Lina asked. “Open it tomorrow,” Tian said. “It’s for good luck!” The next morning, Lina opened the envelope and found a shiny coin inside. She thought about the celebration and how kind Tian had been to invite her. Lina smiled and promised to share kindness in the new year. After dinner, Lina watched the dragon dance. When a group of men from Austin’s colony joined with Mexican soldiers to march on Fredonia, Haden and his brother fled to the United States. The monkey shares the bananas, they play the game with the bear, and then the continue to look for butterflies with Papi Roma. Next Papi Roma with her new friends meet a baby Giraffe stretching her long legs. The group invites her to walk with them and help catch the butterflies. As their walk concludes, the group comes upon papi roma's house where her mother is waiting for her on the porch. She asks, "Papi, how did you meet all these lovely friends?" Papi replies, "they are helping me catch butterflies".

(page 3) The pathogen starts making copies of itself. It thinks it can take over! But here come the first responders: Macrophages! These giant cells swallow up invaders and alert the other heroes! (Page 4) After gobbling up the enemy, the macrophages show pieces of the pathogen, called antigens, to the Helper T cells. This is like sending out an emergency call for backup! (page 5) The B cells hear the call and transform into plasma cells! They start making antibodies, tiny weapons that stick to the pathogens and stop them from spreading. (page 6) Meanwhile, Cytotoxic (Killer) T cells arrive! They find infected cells and destroy them to stop the pathogen’s plan! (page 7) Once the battle is almost won, Regulatory T cells make sure the superheroes don’t attack too much. They help the immune system calm down and return to normal. (page 8) After the battle, some B cells turn into Memory Cells. These cells remember the villain so they can defeat it even faster next time! (page 9) Bella feels better! Her primary immune response was strong, and next time, her secondary immune response will be even quicker! (page 10) Thanks to the Immune System Superheroes, Bella is safe! Her body is always ready for the next adventure!
