Durga shared the Bible verse Thessalonians 5:8 with John Jr and told him it tells us to put on faith and love as a breastplate, and to wear the hope of salvation as a helmet. 5. John Jr and Durga learned the ABCs of salvation. A – ADMIT you are a sinner. B - BELIEVE Jesus died and rose again to pay for your sins. C - CONFESS Jesus is Lord of your life. Putting your total trust in Jesus as your only hope of salvation.

When Meghan approached the shop’s bulletin board, the door creaked open, and Mr. Suthie appeared. “What are you kids doing?” he barked. Meghan explained nervously. Mr. Suthie frowned but surprised them by saying, “Put it up. Make it neat.” “You’re doing a good thing,” he added, his voice softening. “People don’t care about small things anymore.” The kids were speechless but thanked him before moving on. Finding Ethan Days later, outside the town’s church, they saw a boy staring at the Christmas rehearsal through frosty glass. Meghan approached. “Are you okay?” The boy, Ethan, nodded hesitantly. “I… lost something important.” Meghan held up the toy. “Is this it?” Ethan’s eyes lit up. “It’s mine! My sister made it for me before she moved away.” Meghan pressed the button: Merry Christmas, Ethan!

During major festivals, the villagers actively participate, ringing the ancient bronze bell in unison, praying for the blessings of our ancestors. I especially love to visit the Tin Hau Temple, where after lighting an incense stick, I listen to the miraculous stories of the Goddess of Heaven and the Earth God, hoping they will bless me with safety and health. The nearby Chong Him Hall is also a favorite of mine, filled with countless memories from my childhood. Every time I step into this familiar historic site, I can't help but feel: I am so fortunate to be born in such a place rich in history and culture. I will study hard to inherit the wisdom of my ancestors, ensuring that this treasured land is passed down through generations and thrives.
