Hi, I’m Karots, the Welsh pony, and though I may be a bit older now, I still have a mischievous streak! As a lesson pony, I spend my days teaching children not just how to ride but how to stay alert and on their toes! My mornings start like anyone else's—with breakfast, but don’t dare give me food I don’t like, or I’ll simply refuse to eat! After my meal, I play with my pony pals—biting, kicking, and running around wildly—it’s our favorite way to bond! Then, the real fun begins. I know when the children arrive, and I can’t wait to greet them. I like to test my new two-legged friends as soon as they put the halter on, by bolting out of the stall. Sometimes I run so fast I lift them right off their feet—what a ride! Of course, if they let go of the lead rope, it’s FREEDOM! I trot around like the star of my own parade, and the humans reward me with carrots and cookies for my stellar performance. Once they catch me, it’s time for the next round of fun in the arena. I make sure their ride is exciting—no boring trotting in circles for me! I prefer zig-zag patterns, spontaneous canters, and inserting my head or leg through the fence, just to make them squeal. I’ve also mastered the art of picking up branches, just to see how long I can hold on while they try to pry them from my mouth! Of course, after all that fun, I always end the day with good behavior. The children un-tack me, give me lots of scratches (the human version of chewing, I’ve learned), and most importantly, plenty of carrots. After all, carrots are a Karots’ favorite treat!

One chilly night, Gypsy-Rose couldn’t sleep. She tossed and turned, but something kept her awake. Finally, she climbed out of bed and peeked out the window. The stars twinkled, but something else caught her eye—a little fox dashing across the yard. The fox stopped and looked right at her. “Why don’t you come on an adventure with me?” it said. Gypsy-Rose knew she shouldn’t leave the house, but a talking fox! How cool was that? She tiptoed downstairs, slipped outside, and hurried toward the forest. But the snow was deep, and the fox was too fast. “Wait! I can’t keep up!” she called. The fox sighed. “We have places to go, so I suppose you can ride on my back.” Excited, Gypsy-Rose climbed on, and they sped through the trees. Along the way, they met the fox’s friends—a wise old owl, a towering moose, and a deer with magnificent antlers. When she heard howling, she shivered, but the fox reassured her. “That’s Fenrir, our protector.” A beautiful wolf appeared and led the way deeper into the forest. “Where are we going?” Gypsy-Rose asked, but the fox only grinned. Suddenly, the trees opened up to reveal a hidden winter wonderland. A frozen lake sparkled under the stars, and in the center stood a giant glowing tree. Tiny fairies fluttered around it, their wings shimmering like frost. “This is the Heart of the Winter Forest,” the fox said. “Only those who believe in magic can find it.” Warm lights glowed inside the tree, and the air smelled of chocolate and cinnamon. Little creatures with fluffy white fur brought out steaming mugs and delicious treats. Gypsy-Rose sat with her new friends, sipping hot chocolate, feeling warm and happy inside. She had found something more than adventure—she had found magic.

deux petites filles s'enfoncent dans la foret, envoyée par leur mere pour aller cueillir des fraises pour la tarte qu'elle est en train de préparer. elle finissent par voir une vieille petite cabane avec de la fumée qui sort par la cheminée. la plus grande dahlia veut passer son chemin, la plus petite mya tres téméraire, veut absolument voir s'il y a quelqu'un dedans. elles se chamaillent à ce sujet quand tout a coup la porte s'ouvre dans un grincement. mais tjrs personne. il fait noir a l'intérieur. mais mya veut entrer et dahlia non. mya court et entre, dahlia a peur pour elle et la suit. a l'intérieur, une vieille dame au nez crochu et au chapeau de sorcière est en train de faire bouillir de l'eau sur la marmite sur le feu. elle dit bonjour aux filles et demandes si elles sont perdues, et si elles ont faim. dahlia dit non et non, mya dit oui et oui, au grand désespoir de dahlia. la sorcière sourit et dit que ca tombe bien, qu'elle prépare une bonne soupe. 10 fois, elle demande alors aux filles si elles aiment tel ou tel ingrédient. lorsque elle commence sa phrase on dirait qu'elle parle d'un ingrédient délicieux, et Mya crie OUI j'adore ! et Dahlia dit non. par exemple la sorcière demande si elles aiment le caramel MOU .... (ici mya dit OUI Dahlia dit NON) puis la sorcière termine : CHES grillées ! (= mouches grillées). pareil avec les "vers gluants" et 8 autres du meme genre. a la fin, la sorcière verse un grand bol de soupe et demande laquelle en veut. sans attendre de réponse elle se dirige vers mya car elle est persuadé qu'elle va dire OUI. Mais non mya dit NON, finalement je n'aime pas les mouches grillées, ni les vers gluants, ni les .... (tous les 10). et puis surtout, NON je mangerais jamais quelque chose que me donne un inconnu, encore moins une sorcière dans les bois. et les filles s'enfuient en riant.
