I am Nana and my grandchildren and young children share fun stories with me and I want to write a children's book based on their stories. The main characters in this book is Samantha (she is smart, serious, actor, and loves gymnastics and 9 years old). The other main character is Jace (he is smart, silly, quick witted and loves soccer and is also 9 years old). A boy born on 27th February, a Sunday in 1994. It was still winter. He brought the Spring back into his families lives early that year. He was first given a nickname, Chunky, by his aunt Chutki. His father named him Soham Krishna on the day of his Annaprashan. He quickly grew close, and quite protective, to his cousins, a trait he carries to this day. He was the beloved of his grandparents and loved spending time with them, especially his shondada. No sooner was he a Kindergartener, he was also learning to draw and swim. 8 years felt like a blink as his mother and I set him off on his learning journey. Always quick to make friends, he had met twin boys at The Frank Anthony Public School. Taking a liking to basketball and rugby, he featured regularly in school games. Passing out from Delhi Public School, Newtown in 2012 he gained admission into the MVJ College of Engineering. It was the first time he was going to live away from home. He joined TCS, Chennai in December 2016.

It was a chilly December morning, and the Johnson family was busy setting up their Christmas tree. Dad, Kendrick Sr. hung the last ornament and asked, 'Who's ready for some fun in the snow?' The kids, Kendrick Jr., Anna-Louise, and Kenton, shouted with excitement, eager to go outside. But before they could head out, Mom, Robin had some exciting news to share. She smiled and said, 'I'm pregnant, and today we'll find out if the baby is a boy or a girl. Anna-Louise guessed, 'It's a girl!' while Kendrick Jr. insisted, 'It's a boy!' She loves the paintings at that museum, especially Las Meninas by Diego Velázquez. She does travel with her blue cat, Arturito, who loves singing and painting. A long time ago, in the vast African savannah, giraffes had short necks just like people. They roamed the land, munching on grass and low-hanging leaves. Among them was a particularly curious giraffe named Gigi. One sunny day, Gigi's friend, Chicken, decided to play a little trick. Chicken knew that Gigi loved palm leaf soup more than anything else in the world. So, Chicken made a big pot of the delicious soup and hid it high up in the tallest tree. When Gigi caught the scent of the soup, her mouth watered, and she couldn't resist. She looked up at the tree and saw the pot of soup perched on a high branch. Determined to taste it, Gigi began to stretch her neck. She stretched and stretched, but the soup was still out of reach. Gigi didn't give up. She kept stretching her neck higher and higher until, finally, she managed to get her head into the tree. But as she tried to take a sip, her head got stuck between the branches! Poor Gigi was trapped. For 100 years, Gigi remained stuck in the tree. The other animals tried to help, but it took a long time to figure out how to free her. Eventually, they worked together and managed to rescue Gigi. When she was finally free, Gigi's neck had become incredibly long from all that stretching. From that day on, all giraffes had long necks, just like Gigi. They could reach the highest leaves and enjoy the tastiest treats, all thanks to Gigi's love for palm leaf soup and her determination to reach it. And that's how the giraffe got its long neck.
