Attention issues, prior knowledge, and memory decay all interfere with the actual memories that are stored. There are so many different parts to our memory that all work separately and together to help us experience and remember life. The Republic of Texas was de facto an independent country, but most of its Anglo-American citizens who had moved from the United States to Texas after 1822 wanted to be annexed by the United States. 3. John Jr started to explain to Yuēhàn the key battles of the Mexican American War. Battle of Monterrey The first major battle of the war, which took place in 1846. Mexican forces were able to repel the first few attacks by U.S. forces, but eventually surrendered. Battle of Buena Vista A turning point in the war, as Santa Anna's decision to attack Taylor prevented him from reinforcing Vera Cruz. Battle of Cerro Gordo The First and Second Tennessee Infantry regiments distinguished themselves in this battle, which was the first of a series of American victories that led to the capture of Mexico City. Battle of Chapultepec A decisive battle in 1847, where troops led by Gen. Winfield Scott overwhelmed a group of cadets studying at the military academy in the castle. Battle of Palo Alto The first major engagement of the war, which took place on May 8, 1846. The American army was able to defeat the Mexican army, despite the Mexican army being much larger, due to their superior weapons and training. 4. John Jr and Yuēhàn found out Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ended the Mexican War and annexed a large amount of territory to California.

A peer comforts her and offers to help find the toonie. They work together and find the toonie. She then uses it to buy two popsicles one for her and one for her new friend.

Amita comes from a family in Banda, Uttar Pradesh, and was born into a close-knit joint family. Her childhood was filled with joy, as she was the first child and received abundant love and pampering from her parents and grandparents. In her family, women from her mother’s generation had limited exposure to education and job opportunities. However, her family took a different approach for her generation where they were always encouraged to pursue their studies. Her mother hoped she would become a doctor, but her passion lay in mathematics, and she aspired to pursue engineering. Despite her mother’s initial reservations about engineering being a suitable path for a girl, she managed to convince her parents. However, challenges remained. Her town had only one science college for girls, and unfortunately, mathematics wasn’t offered there. Undeterred, she persuaded the school to approve math as a subject, and it was heartening to see a few of her friends choose the same path. When everything seemed to be going well, and she was at a crucial point in choosing my career, she faced medical emergencies and underwent multiple surgeries. It took nearly two years to return to normal life, which unfortunately meant she couldn’t attend the engineering college she had hoped for. Disappointment weighed heavily, but she heeded her father’s advice. She pursued her graduation in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and secured the second-highest rank in college. Later, she completed her master’s and married, relocating to Pune. There, she joined L&T Infotech.
