My daughter is 5 and her name is Kayleigh. She has autism and speech delay, but she is now starting to talk after being non verbal her entire life. I want to encourage other little kids to never give up. Autism and speech delay looks different for anyone dealing with it. You are amazing inside and out and you should always believe in yourself. Kayleigh began using a speech program on her ipad at the age of 3. She's been in ABA therapy since she was 2.5 years old and Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapy since 6 months of age. She's overcome many challenges but she is smart as a wip. She communicates very well with approximations and sign language and has very good receptive language. Kayleigh is such a bright little girl who has a heart that is full of love. Her and her mommy are best friends and love to sing together while listening our favorite Beyonce' song "Energy". Once upon a time, in a vast and lush green forest, there lived a wise tortoise whom everyone respected. His name was Kavi. Kavi was old but very knowledgeable. Kavi lived by the edge of a great lake. His home was hidden inside an old log covered in moss. The animals of the forest loved visiting him because Kavi always told interesting stories and gave wise counsel. One day, a big argument broke out in the forest. The rabbit, Tikur, accidentally took the acorns that the squirrel, Mirmir, had collected to his own burrow. Mirmir was very angry about this, and the animals of the forest were divided. Some supported Tikur, while others sided with Mirmir. The argument grew louder, and the animals started shouting at each other. Finally, they all decided to go see Kavi. The wise tortoise asked everyone to listen carefully and then began to speak slowly: “My dear friends, first of all, we must stay calm. Tıkır, did you take Mırmır’s acorns on purpose, or was it a mistake?” Tıkır bowed his head in sadness and said, “It was not my fault. I only picked up the ones that had fallen to the ground and took them to my burrow, thinking they were mine.”Kavi smiled and turned to Mırmır: “Mırmır, my friend, we now see that Tıkır made a mistake. But would you rather forgive this mistake, or continue fighting?”Mırmır thought for a moment and then sighed: “I know my friend didn’t do this with bad intentions. They climbed the castle, so high in the air, Besa looked down, feeling love everywhere. 7) Then came the day she’d waited so long, To visit Gjilan, where she felt so strong. It is the place where her family is from, A town that always made her heart hum. 8) At Vali Ranch, the horses stood high, Besa chose one with a gleam in their eye. She rode with joy, feeling the breeze, Laughing and smiling, completely at ease. 9) She visited her familja (family) with hugs so tight, In Gjilan, everything felt just right. They shared stories, laughter, and love, Besa knew she was blessed from above. 10) Her summer in Kosova soon would end, But she knew in her heart, she’d come back again. From Rugova’s peaks to Prizren’s old town, And Gjilan’s warmth that never let her down. 11) Back to America, she flew through the skies, With stories of love, joy, and bright eyes. Besa smiled as the plane took flight, Kosova stayed in her dreams each night.
