She was a 10-year-old African American girl with dark skin, big brown eyes and two afro puff ponytails tied with cotton candy looking ribbons. Z'Rica lived with her mom, little sister, and baby sister. They didn't have a home, so the car was their house. The back seat was Z'Rica's bedroom, and she kept her few belongings in a suitcase. Page 2Every day, Z'Rica would go to the library after school. She loved to read and learn new things. The library smelled like old books and felt quiet and peaceful. Z'Rica would get lost in the stories, imagining a different life for herself. She'd read about kids with big houses and loving families, wondering what that would be like. Page 3One day, while she was walking to the library, she found a old book and a wooden comb on the ground near the library. The comb was special - it had African patterns carved into it. She picked them up, feeling a strange connection to the comb. She decided to take them home, wondering where they came from. Maybe they belonged to someone important. "Z'Rica, you have a special mission," it said in a low, rumbling voice. Z'Rica was surprised, but also excited. Her hair started talking back to the comb! Scene 8: Stepping Through the Doorway Ahmed, Hamad, and Mohammed step through the doorway into a magical world of giant flowers and friendly creatures. Scene 9: Exploring the Wonderland The boys explore the wonderland, discovering colorful paths, talking animals, and twinkling lights. Scene 10: Meeting a Friendly Fairy They meet a friendly fairy named Lila who tells them about a hidden treasure in the garden. Scene 11: The Treasure Map Lila gives them a magical map showing where the treasure is hidden in the garden. Scene 12: The Search Begins Ahmed, Hamad, and Mohammed follow the map, laughing and working together to find the treasure. Scene 13: Finding the Treasure They discover a beautiful chest filled with sparkling gems and magical seeds. Scene 14: A Surprise Gift Lila thanks them and gives each boy a magical seed to plant in their own gardens. Scene 15: Returning Home The boys say goodbye to Lila and step back through the magical doorway, returning to Ahmed’s garden. Scene 16: Planting New Seeds Ahmed, Hamad, and Mohammed plant their magical seeds, excited for new adventures and surprises.

A childrens book about a young Lakota Sioux Native American boy named Deacon. This story takes you through the daily things that Lakota Sioux do each day. Sioux means "little snakes" and Deacon is a proud member of the snake house. Lakota are known for their warrior culture and their Ghost Dance to protect their lands. Lakota Sioux manly hunt and eat buffalo. They would eat chokecherries and enjoy herbal tea. They use the buffalo skin to make blankets and teepees and moccasins for their feet. They live in "Tipis" the Sioux word for dwelling. The Lakota Sioux live in North America clustered in what is now Wisconsin, Minnesota and North and South Dakota or the Great Plains. Lakota Sioux were known for their beadwork and porcupine quillwork. Lakota Sioux would use canoes to travel and dogs/sleds to pull things. When horses were introduced to them it changed their culture. Long hair is important to the Lakota Sioux and should not be cut unless you are mourning the loss of a loved one. Lakota children played with rawhide dolls and throwing the willow spear. It is important to pass on the Lakota traditions and remember their 7 values of respect, compassion, honesty, generosity, wisdom, humility, and prayer.

My book is about a mother going through rough periods in her pregnancy because she was abandoned by her own husband and later by her parents, and by her friends, when she was at the crossroads because her 3 and half years old son and her unborn baby in her womb were with her and her dad was told her to do the abortion. This is the story of her and how she stood up for herself and her children in this darkness and found her purpose of life. She started helping other moms by utilizing her credentials as a Nutritionist and a Breastfeeding counselor. She started her own day school and practiced her knowledge by offering nutritious meals to her children in the day school and teach them And Nutrition in their early stages of their lives. Not only that, she was teaching nutrition to their moms and other moms also who is the backbone of the family.
