Page 5 When it rains, we build a fort, A cozy, secret blanket sort. “No grown-ups allowed!” I say with pride. Monkey nods—it’s safe inside. Page 6 When I’m sad, he’s always near. He hugs me tight and wipes my tears. “You’re the best,” I say, feeling okay. Monkey makes the clouds go away. Page 7 At night, we look at the stars so far. “Do you think there’s a Monkey Star?” Monkey tilts his head just so, As if to say, “Of course, you know!” Page 8 I tell him secrets, big and small. “Do you love me, Monkey, most of all?” He hugs me close and holds me tight, Filling my heart with love and light. Page 9 “Monkey’s not real,” Mommy might say. But I know better—he’s real my way. She smiles and tucks us safe in bed. “You’re lucky to have him,” she said. Page 10 As I dream, we swing and soar, Through jungles, seas, and so much more. “I love you, Monkey,” I softly coo. And in his hug, I feel it, too. Page 11 Morning comes, soft and bright, Monkey’s here—my heart feels light. Page 12 With a hug, we start the day, Best friends forever, come what may.

Once upon a time, there was a little turtle named Timmy who loved to explore. He lived on a beautiful beach with his best friend, Shelly the seashell. One sunny morning, Timmy decided to go on an adventure to the other side of the reef. "Be careful, Timmy," Shelly warned. "The tide can be tricky!" But Timmy was too excited to listen. He waved goodbye and swam off. As he reached the reef, he noticed the water was getting deeper. Suddenly, a strong current pulled him away from the reef! Timmy panicked. He tried to swim back, but the current was too strong. He was being swept out to sea! Just then, he saw Mr. Starfish, the wise old starfish, floating nearby. "Mr. Starfish, help!" Timmy cried. "The tide is taking me away!" Mr. Starfish smiled calmly. "Don't panic, Timmy," he said. "Swim parallel to the shore until you're out of the current." Timmy did as he was told, and soon he was safe. "Thank you, Mr. Starfish!" he said. "I'll never forget your advice." From that day on, Timmy always listened to Shelly's warnings and respected the power of the ocean. He learned that even though adventures are fun, safety always comes first. Moral of the Story: * Always listen to warnings from your friends and elders. * Be aware of your surroundings, especially when near water. * If you're ever in trouble, stay calm and ask for help.

The story is about two plastic tubs called Tub 1 & Tub 2. The tubs are used to store clothes. 2. The tubs don't know how special they are, they think they are just used to store people's stuff. 3. One day they discovered they were more than that when a person called Phil arrived at their house on the beach. 4. Phil was visiting the tropical island for two months. 5. All of his possessions fitted into the two tubs. 6. When Phil was packing his clothes into the tubs, he was thinking how much stuff he had left behind at home. He was also thinking of little he needed on his visit to the tropical island. 7. Each day as Phil took out something to wear he reflected on what it felt like to live with so little. 8. It felt good. Phil felt free! Life was simple and uncluttered. 9. Little did the tubs know that they had become a symbol of a new way of living for Phil. 10. They had taught Phil a very important lesson, to not collect to much stuff but to live simply.

I ran to her with a steady pace, wagging my tail all over the place! My name is Pinto, like the bean, and I now have my forever home... it’s like a dream. A kind young woman named Maddy came along and brought me home—where I belong.

John Jr came across an envelope. Granny said they could open it. A map was in there. John Jr and Vasi studied it for a bit. 3. Granny explained it was a map of the Southside neighborhood. John Jr and Vasi wasted to go there bad, because the map showed a treasure hidden there. Granny took them to the area so John Jr and Vasi could explore. 4. John Jr and Vasiwalkaround for a few hours. They was about to give up, until they noticed an apple tree. The map showed the treasure near that. John Jr and Vasi studied the map a little more to figure out how it was position around that tree. 5. John Jr finds the spot and start digging. They get about 2 ft deep and see this hard plastic container. They get it out. 6. John Jr opens it up and finds a news paper from 1983. The headline was President Reagan created a day to honor Martin Luther King. They find some change that had 1983 imprinted on them. The was a tape of Michael Jackson's Thriller. 5. There was also a Care Bear with a heart on it. There was also some He-Man figurines. They find a box of Nerds candy. They wondered if the Nerds were safe to eat. 6. John Jr and Vasi takes the time capsule back to John Jr's Granny house. Everyone eats some supper. John Jr and Vasi go to their bedroom to play with the time capsule.
