Il était une fois, dans un petit village, un chaton nommé Milo. Milo était très curieux et aimait explorer tout ce qui l’entourait. Il vivait avec une gentille vieille dame qui s'appelait Mamie Jeanne, dans une maison remplie de plantes, de coussins moelleux, et d’une grande bibliothèque remplie de livres. Un jour, alors que Mamie Jeanne lisait un livre, Milo remarqua une porte dans le mur du salon qu'il n’avait jamais vue auparavant. La porte était petite, presque cachée derrière une plante grimpante. "Qu’est-ce qui peut bien se trouver derrière cette porte?" se demanda Milo avec excitation. Sans attendre, il s’approcha de la porte et la poussa doucement avec sa petite patte. La porte s’ouvrit lentement, révélant un escalier en colimaçon qui descendait vers un endroit sombre. Milo hésita un instant, mais sa curiosité l'emporta, et il décida de descendre. En bas de l'escalier, Milo découvrit une pièce secrète! Elle était remplie de jouets anciens, de peluches, et de boules de laine colorées. Il y avait même un vieux train électrique qui faisait "tchou tchou" en tournant autour de la pièce. Milo était émerveillé. Il sauta, joua avec les peluches et poursuivit les boules de laine qui roulaient un peu partout. Soudain, il entendit un léger bruit derrière lui. Il se retourna et vit une petite souris grise qui le regardait avec de grands yeux curieux. "Bonjour, je m'appelle Lily," dit la souris timidement. "Je vis ici depuis longtemps, mais je n'ai jamais eu de compagnon de jeu." Milo sourit et répondit: "Je suis Milo, et j'adore jouer! Veux-tu jouer avec moi?" Lily accepta avec joie, et ils passèrent le reste de l'après-midi à jouer à cache-cache, à faire rouler les boules de laine, et même à essayer de conduire le petit train ensemble. Quand le soir tomba, Milo savait qu'il était temps de rentrer. "Je reviendrai demain!" dit-il à Lily en montant les escaliers. Lily lui fit un signe de la main avant de disparaître dans son petit trou de souris.

After all, Sarah had been so rude to her before. Why should she be nice now? But then, something in her heart made her pause. She remembered what her mom always said: "Two wrongs don’t make a right." Katie wasn’t sure what that meant exactly, but she knew her mom would want her to be kind and helpful, even if it was hard. Katie took a deep breath and walked over to Sarah. "I’ll help you," she said, trying not to sound too grumpy. Sarah looked surprised but didn't argue. "Thank you so much, Katie." She said with teary eyes. Katie sat down beside her and helped Sarah with the math problems. They worked quietly for a few minutes, and slowly, Sarah began to smile. “Oh, I get it now,” Sarah said, her face lighting up. “Thanks, Katie. I didn’t know how to do this before." Sarah hugged Katie tightly. Katie felt proud of herself. It was hard to help someone who had been mean, but she felt like she had made the right choice. Even though Sarah wasn’t always kind to her, Katie knew she could still be the bigger person. As the bell rang and Katie stood up to go to class, Sarah said, “Hey, um, sorry about the stuff I said before. I wasn’t very nice.” Katie smiled and nodded. “It’s okay,” she said. She didn’t expect Sarah to change overnight, but at least she knew she had done something good.

He grabs curtains, towels, and shiny toys. His room turns into a colorful mess, but Duda doesn’t mind. He’s focused on creating his special costume. After finishing, he looks at himself in the mirror. He smiles proudly at his work. Excited, Duda runs to show his mom. She looks at him, surprised but proud. She smiles and hugs him, telling him how great his costume is. Duda feels proud and happy. His mom, seeing how excited he is, says, “Let’s go to the parade!” They leave the house and walk down the street. Duda looks around at the colorful decorations and listens to the music. When they reach the parade, Duda is amazed. He sees a dancer on a truck, surrounded by people in costumes. Duda asks his mom about the dancer, and she explains with a smile. Duda wants to dance too. His mom laughs and says, “Let’s join the fun!” They dance together in the crowd, spinning and laughing. Duda is happy to be part of the celebration. The day ends with confetti flying and music playing, and Duda and his mom smile, enjoying their special moment together.

Kayla is new to school and is nervous to start Kindergarten. She meets a new friend, his name is Bobby. In school Kayla is playing with blocks, having lunch and in the playground and Bobby is always touching her hair, poking her, or in her personal space. Ms. Melanie, their teacher, notices and praises Kayla for using her words. Everyone is happy and playing together.

They live in "Tipis" the Sioux word for dwelling. The Lakota Sioux live in North America clustered in what is now Wisconsin, Minnesota and North and South Dakota or the Great Plains. Lakota Sioux were known for their beadwork and porcupine quillwork. Lakota Sioux would use canoes to travel and dogs/sleds to pull things. When horses were introduced to them it changed their culture. Long hair is important to the Lakota Sioux and should not be cut unless you are mourning the loss of a loved one. Lakota children played with rawhide dolls and throwing the willow spear. It is important to pass on the Lakota traditions and remember their 7 values of respect, compassion, honesty, generosity, wisdom, humility, and prayer.
