A Children's Storybook Page 1 A long time ago in Israel, there was a kind woman named Hannah. She loved God very much, but she was sad because she had no children. Every year, she went to the temple to pray. Page 2 One day, with tears in her eyes, Hannah prayed, “Lord, if You give me a son, I will give him back to You to serve You all his life.” Page 3 The priest, Eli, saw Hannah praying and said, “May God grant your request.” Hannah believed in God’s promise and left the temple full of hope. Page 4 God answered Hannah’s prayer! She gave birth to a baby boy and named him Samuel, which means “God has heard.” She loved him dearly. Page 5 When Samuel was old enough, Hannah kept her promise. She brought him to the temple and said to Eli, “God has blessed me with a son, and now I give him back to serve the Lord.” Page 6 Samuel grew up in the temple, learning from Eli. One night, he heard a voice calling, “Samuel! Samuel!” He thought Eli was calling him, but Eli said, “I did not call you. Go back to sleep.” Page 7 The voice called again, and again Samuel ran to Eli. But Eli realized it was God speaking to Samuel! He told Samuel, “Say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.’” Page 8 Samuel listened, and God spoke to him. From that night on, Samuel became a great prophet, guiding Israel and teaching them to follow God. Page 9 Hannah’s faith and promise led to Samuel becoming one of the greatest leaders of Israel. Hayley’s eyes widened. Why did she need to go to the hospital? Hayley jumped into the car and headed straight there. Her heart was thumping with excitement and curiosity. When she arrived, she saw her dad waiting at the door. He looked so happy! “Come on, Hayley,” he said, taking her hand. They walked down the long hallways with the sound of footsteps echoing all around them. Hayley felt so much excitement. Finally, they turned a corner and there she was, a tiny little baby tucked into a cosy little blanket. Dad said, “Hayley, meet your little sister, Lara.” Hayley’s heart filled with joy as she leaned in to see Lara for the first time. The baby had tiny fingers and soft, pink cheeks. “She’s so little,” Hayley whispered, touching Lara’s hand. The baby’s fingers curled around hers. At that moment, Hayley knew that Lara would be the the best little sister in the world and that they would have so many adventures and memories together !

She smiles and hugs him, telling him how great his costume is. Duda feels proud and happy. His mom, seeing how excited he is, says, “Let’s go to the parade!” They leave the house and walk down the street. Duda looks around at the colorful decorations and listens to the music. When they reach the parade, Duda is amazed. He sees a dancer on a truck, surrounded by people in costumes. Duda asks his mom about the dancer, and she explains with a smile. Duda wants to dance too. His mom laughs and says, “Let’s join the fun!” They dance together in the crowd, spinning and laughing. Duda is happy to be part of the celebration. The day ends with confetti flying and music playing, and Duda and his mom smile, enjoying their special moment together.
